Another lesson learned...

Command-R in xCode is build and run, whereas command-R in interface builder is simulate interface! This caused me confusion because I would build and run in xCode and it would go to a black screen, yet when I did the same from interface builder, it showed my nib file, but I did not realize it was a simulation. doh!
